Moving Forward

Teaching is a series of "two steps forward and one step back" as we coach children towards knowledge, skill, concept and learning to learn skills and attitudes.

At times organizational issues empower and enrich the work we do, and at other times organizational issues get in the way of the work we do and hinder our forward movement.  At those times, one has to reach back to the core--the mission at hand to find strength and do his/her work.

That's what I'll do today--reach back, and the best way to do that is to look into children's eyes, listen to their words and needs, implement thoughtful learning endeavors and adapt with children's interests in mind. The children are the reason we teach, and the best we can do is bring our best effort and intent each day, not letting larger organizational issues and attitudes hinder the work we do.

Forward.
